We work with the following rescue/animal support groups:
Animal Help Alliance: Animal Help Alliance saves animals in our local shelters through adoption, foster, and rescue. They also assist with responsible re-homing to keep animals from entering the shelter system in the first place. An owner assistance program is also in place providing short and long-term assistance to keep pets with their family. (Poppy Benson)
Animal Network: Animal Network is dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals from shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. Working with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, shelters, rescue organizations, local veterinarians, trainers and boarding facilities, AN is able to rescue companion animals and provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched carefully screened forever homes. (Kim Hess)
Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas: Hearts Alive Village’s mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. Through a variety of owner support programs, they strive to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible by providing food, veterinary care, training assistance, support, and more. They work with survivors of domestic abuse, veterans, seniors, the homeless, and children, to provide access to services, find the perfect family, and educate and inspire the next generation to take action. (Melissa Trasatti)
Rockin 4 Rescues: Rockin 4 Rescues is an organization dedicated to the health, well-being and safety of animals. Their main goal focuses on keeping animal rescues funded. R4R provides emergency funds for medical, food, boarding for homeless animals, and any other needs to better their lives. (Lauren DeHaan)
Desert Buns R Us is a grassroots, home based Bunny only rescue. We take in (if space is available) locally dumped domestic/pet bunnies. We rescue, educate, rehabilitate and re-home bunnies (the 3rd most popular pet). Since there are no established and active Bunny rescues in Vegas, our work is important. We love bunnies and our mission is helping them! Email Erin Urano or call 510-909-5180 for more information.
